Win-back (re-engagement)
Sends a re-engagement email to contacts who received campaigns and did not open or click in the hygiene window. Off by default — turn it on when you are ready.
Relation to inactive contacts
| Screen | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Inactive contacts | List and cleanup (delete, export, tag, segment) — does not send email |
| Win-back | Sends a re-engagement campaign to the same “no interaction” audience |
Use hygiene to trim your list; use win-back only if you want to try re-activating before deleting.
How it works
- Create a campaign with re-engagement subject and content.
- Go to Automation → Win-back and pick the campaign.
- Set max emails per contact and minimum interval (days).
- Turn the switch on and save — a daily job queues eligible contacts with those limits.
Limits
- Max touches: how many win-back emails one contact can receive (e.g. 2).
- Cooldown: minimum days between sends to the same person.
- Auto exit: contacts who open or click in the hygiene window are skipped.
- Quota: each send uses plan quota like a normal campaign.
Queue now
Queue eligible now runs the same rules as the daily job immediately (useful right after enabling). Requires automation on and a campaign selected.
Tip
Review Inactive contacts before enabling win-back at scale — saves quota on very cold or invalid addresses.
